like mother like daughter

Before moving here, I had never seen a cat of this particular color, which I guess is best described as sand.  Have any of you in the States ever seen cats like this?

Kitty and Junior

So far, I have only seen three.  Outside Kitty, her daughter Junior, and our neighbor's yard cat, who she has aptly named Sandy.  Sandy Sue, actually, because our neighbor is from Texas and is compelled to give everything two names.

Two years ago: nothing clever
